I could not walk more than 30 feet at a time for about 5 years because of back problems. I tried a pair on at an event . For the first time in 5 years I walked without pain. I have worn these shoes for 12 plus years now. The price may look high, but to have no pain and be able to function again I can not but a price on. Besides the shoes last and you can change out the heels after 6 months to a year and feel like you have new shoes again.

These shoes stop most of my peripheral neuropathy pain. My problem is with the poor quality of shoe laces/eye-lets, spring sole, and main sole coming apart and almost tripping me, as well as, not being able to know how to adjust them. I don’t know if I’m receiving the same tension on the spring and I never get adjustment pads for my instep anymore. I live in a remote area of AZ and I am many hours away from a ZCoil store. These are very expensive but, keep me on my feet; I would like better customer support now that I buy them on the internet. Why don’t you offer these options on the internet site? Spring adjustment tension and insole support??? I never know if what I’m getting other than an overall style; and for over $260!! That’s nice but let’s face it, I wear these to keep working and walking.

Excellent customer service when I exchanged my z-coil shoes for a smaller size. Definitely I will continue buying more z-coil shoes for my knees. Thanks!!!

“I started wearing Z-Coil shoes about 2003 at a time when I could hardly walk a block without pain due to arthritis. It took about six months for my feet and ankles to get well and I have worn Z-coil shoes since. Now I walk the dog about three miles a day. Z-Coil shoes basically enable me to walk.
The most recent pair of Z-coil shoes which I bought were Sidewinder sandals. (I bought my first Sidewinders when they were new on the market, maybe 2008 or so. I wear sandals all summer. The old Sidewinders are now finally falling apart.) The new sandals I bought were at the end-of-season (2015) clearance; I simply put them away until next summer.
As time goes by, formerly comfortable athletic shoes now press uncomfortably against my ankles (which are swollen) and I find that I have to use inserts to raise my feet in the shoes so that the ankles are not pressed by the shoes.
The worst problem with my shoes now is that arthritis is misshaping my feet so badly that I have to use shoe stretchers to get any shoes to fit. In a few years I shall probably have to go to shoes that are custom shaped to my feet.”

THE RUBBERS ON THE HEELS DONT LAST. THE SHOES WORK WELL OTHERWISE

I’m on my feet all day made everything ache. Was told z coils shoes could help. So I bought a pair. The shoes are very stiff and hard sole. The first week my feet ache so bad had to add two cushions in them. That help a lot but still feels hard when I stand in one place for a long time. Shoes feel great when you are walking and moving around. The first three weeks my lower back was very tight when wearing the shoes. Month later they seems to be braking in. Feet hurt less, no more cramps in my legs. Lower Back still tight at the end of the day, I’m hoping that the Z coils will break in more soon and the lower back stop hurting.

After 8 spinal surgeries and pain in my knees, back and feet, more orthotics than I care to mention from Podiatrist etc. The Z-coil is the only thing that allows me to walk with out pain. If it starts to hurt I can transfer my weight to the heel of the foot to get me where I am going. They are a life saver!!

The Freedom is one of our best sellers because the fit is great. It is the standard to which all other shoes are measured and the one that fits most people instantly. The shoe is built for a normal D width but because it is a lace-up, it can be adjusted for all widths C through EE. We built the toebox (ball of the foot) to a E width to prevent irritation in this area

This shoe runs true to size so order the size that you normally are. For unknown size, measure your foot length on a ruler and use the size chart below to find your size.

This shoe is ergonomically designed with our standard great fit features:
-a rounded, padded heel,
- a built in orthotic with a standard arch,
-a wider than normal toebox width for better fit in the toe area
-a padded tongue and collar for decreased abrasion
-pressure free flat lacing for a snug fit
-a rocker bottom for easy mobility
-conical spring in the heel for 50% impact reduction to the body
