I had lateral release of the tendons of both knees 19 years ago. Ten years ago, chemo for breast cancer left me with neuropathy throughout my body, especially my feet. Add these two challenges together and you end up with a person who could not walk 100 yards, nor stand for more than a few minutes at a time. That was, until I purchased my Z-CoiL shoes 3 weeks ago at Nurses Boutique in Tulare, CA. (Maria was an absolute sweetheart.)

I wore my Z-CoiL shoes out of the store and drove to a local casino, where I walked and stood most of the 2 hours I was there. Wow! I could not have done that without Z-CoiL shoes.

I'm wearing them several hours most days now. I'm walking so much more now, I'm actually exercising to the point of muscle soreness. I am thrilled! Last week I walked the 100 yards to my corner and back ... twice. I'm also doing housework I have not been able to do for years.

I needed, however, to add supports/pads under the balls of my feet to ease a burning sensation which I had.

I think I "sold" a pair to a guard at the casino and a couple more pair to people who came to my yard sale this past weekend.

Sure wish I had the funds to open a store in my home town.

UPDATE: I have to give an update: It's been 2 1/2 months and I continue to grow stronger every day. I've been able to stand for up to 3 hours (before, my limit was 20 minutes), work on my townhouse and rental property ... and last week I "power-walked" 2/3 of the local mall! I have not walked that place in almost 6 years. I was going at a fast pace, elevating my pulse, and weaving in and out of the people. It felt wonderful!

Z-CoiL shoes changed my life. I was at the end of my rope. I had tried everything for Plantar Fasciitis, Tarsal Tunnel, and Nerve Damage. I was almost housebound and counting every step I took to see if I could try to save some and walk less. I love my Z-CoiL High Desert Hikers! I got them sometime in April or May of 2009. I have Neuropathy in both feet and have suffered from back pain most of my life. I sing in Portland's (OR) Singing Christmas Tree and this year we had 10 performances. Those singing in the Tree (structure) are standing for the whole performance except for the 15 minute we get a break. (www.singingchristmastree.org) I have been singing with the Tree since 1999. This is the first year I have been WITHOUT extreme pain! I really believe it is from wearing my Z-CoiL’s! It made it much easier to stand in the Tree for 2 hours. I have to wear black shoes in the Tree and since I couldn't afford to get another pair I found Ice Skate covers work great for covering the boot... it's amazing. I wear them ALL the time, they are the only shoe I wear and I only have one pair, so having the shoe cover really works well. My dogs love me having these amazing shoes, as I now can take them for a walk. We go for about a mile walk day and night depending on the weather. I have not been able to do that since 1997! This will be to date, the single most important document/recommendation I have ever written. I underwent brain surgery for a ruptured basal artery aneurysm in 1986. The medication necessary to keep me alive caused a deteriorating bone disease which resulted in my needing bi-lateral total hip replacements. I have subsequently had 4 additional total hip revisions along with two other hip surgeries, making a total of 8 surgeries from 1981-2001. I was diagnosed with deteriorating disc disease in my back and neck in 2000, both of which require surgery. In early 2009 I was diagnosed with neuropathy in both legs. I have been in indescribable pain from my neck to the bottom of my feet and had reached my breaking point. I didn't think I could go on like this anymore. I was tired of drugs that didn't work and the disabling effects that kept me from enjoying my children and 4 beautiful grandchildren. I am 53 years old and had become housebound and yet the pain was still too much to bear. From my heart I must honestly say that before I decided to end it all, I prayed one more prayer.

Today, July 16, 2007, the miracle I prayed for has come to be. I walked into the Z-CoiL footwear store in Avon, Indiana. I was lovingly and warmly greeted by the store owner Stefanie Davis. I must confess that I was not overly enthusiastic and really wasn't sure I even wanted to go through the whole story again with anyone! She had a professional, kind demeanor and knew what and how to ask what my needs were. I was indeed skeptical. I found myself opening up to one of the most beautiful people I have ever met in my life, and then it happened.

I tried on a pair of the Z-CoiL shoes and I immediately felt relief. After a few tweaks, I was walking tall, picking up my feet and crying uncontrollably. I would have paid $2,000.00 for these shoes. I once again have hope! The pain started dissipating immediately and I knew I could go on. Unless you experience this type of pain, it can never be fully characterized. There are not enough words.

My miracle was made complete by then meeting Stephanie J. Stephanie is also a product specialist and again, one of the most beautiful people I have ever met. They truly cared about me - sincerely. I have NEVER received this type of customer service; real, genuine, honest, caring, loving, knowledgeable and downright fabulous. Again, there are not enough words. I will never be able to thank each of you enough. I just pray that God will bless you two over-flowingly as he has me. I love you, my dear (new/old) friends!!!!

I bought my shoes on Thursday June 11, 2009. I got the new Z-Trek shoes and I love them! I have neuropathy in my feet and have had it for at least 5 years; it's not caused from Diabetes either. I have extreme pain in my toe area and with Z-CoiL shoes I don't get that pain anymore. It takes the pressure off the toes and puts my body in a perfect stance. I love the exercise my legs are getting too. I feel like I am getting a work out without working out... My friend said I would be a great advocate for Z-CoiL because when I like something, I tell everyone! I am so excited to see my Chiropractor as I know these will help my back immensely. What I am excited most about is that I can now take my dogs for a walk and I can keep up with them, I have a spring in my step! My feet don't hurt me when walking around the block; I'm going to try for 2 this next week after I have gotten my body warmed up.

I have a problem with my feet call Neuropathy; which is severe pain and bad circulation in both my feet that burns when walking and especially driving a car, even for just a few minutes. The pain lasts all day and goes away a few hours after going to bed. It is hard to sleep with that burning pain. Walking and standing both hurt horribly as well.

I heard about Z-CoiL shoes from a friend, so I went to try them out. I was in a lot of pain the day I went to try them. The shoes in the store felt really good at the time, but my feet were still hurting because of months of constant pain and burning. I was fitted with a pair of Z-CoiL shoes over my lunch hour and wore them back to work (I am on my feet all day). 2 hours later my pain was 95% gone! I thought my mind was playing a trick on me but either way my pain was almost gone. On the 2 hour drive home that night when I got out of the car, I usually always need a cane to help me walk into the house. Not that night or any night since! I just walked out of the car and into the house.

It has been 1 week today since I bought my Z-CoiL shoes, and I am 99% free of my neuropathy pain in my feet. I want to say 100% but I still have the problem only when I walk bare footed around the house or use normal shoes for any long period of time. So the neuropathy is still there but the pain is gone! I find myself not wanting to take off my Z-CoiL shoes until I go to bed, just so I can be free of the pain when doing housework or even using the bathroom. I am SO happy with Z-CoiL shoes and how they gave me my life back. I can now do the things I couldn't for years because of the pain. Driving was my worst enemy as my feet are stuck in a single position, weighing down on the heels. I found that the coil heel gave my heels a spring that absorbed the car friction over bumps and had a softer feel like never before. And they mold to the curve (bend) of my feet which is a big help.

In fact, I just bought my 2nd pair of Z-CoiL shoes today, so I can have a pair at home and at work. Usually I sit on park benches while at Amusement parks just watching the kids play and now, this weekend, I look forward to riding the rides and standing in line with my kids again! When I go to bed at night I fall right asleep. No pain to deal with. You really don't know how valuable your feet are until they fail on you. I can see now that Z-CoiL shoes would have prevented me from getting neuropathy if I had worn them years ago. I plan on getting a pair for my kids and my wife. They are awesome! Thank You Z-CoiL!
